How do I get space to create a web page on the resist.ca server?
You can apply for web space at https://new.resist.ca. Be sure to indicate that you want a website.
How do I get webspace (if i already have a resist.ca account but didn't originally ask for webspace)?
Webspace is no longer automatically included with an email account. However if you already have an email account with us we can simple add this services for you. For now please contact us directly to request this new addition to your services.
How much space do I get with my website?
We currently don't have quotas on web space but we ask that you be reasonable. If you are storing lots of binary files such as pictures, videos or pdf's, we ask that you make a contribution that reflects the additional hardware needs of the server.
How do I create my own website?
This page should have all the info you need.
How do I set up a domain on resist.ca?
First of all, you should already have a website account approved and set up on this system (if you don't, go to https://new.resist.ca and fill out the form).
In order to get a domain name, you must register it yourself. We recommend the gandi.net for domain name registration. You can let the domain registrar know that ns1.resist.ca and ns2.resist.ca are the primary nameserver and secondary name servers. You can also try going to http://www.everydns.net/ for an additional secondary nameserver but it is not necessary.
Once that's done, email help [at] resist dot ca and request set up on our end (don't forget to tell us which account it is attached to). We require an extra donation for domain name hosting. See our ratesheet for suggested donations.
